STEP 2 UWM - Ultimate Wave Machine
Introduction
Wave-power is abundant in mid-ocean. What better way to use its slow reciprocation than to compress air? High volumes of low pressure air can be used as a power supply. The WMC is a basic power unit which captures and supplies vast amounts of energy in the form of compressed air. The WMC is a sub-component, a unit which can be incorporated into many other machines.

General Description of Wave Machine (WMC)
Typical WMC is made from a number of similar Modules, configured to suit situation. Each Module comprises a number of Sectors, identical except for the End Sectors which are specials. Sectors are composed of hexagonal cells approx 6m across open to the sea at the bottom. Modules have a Bow which faces into waves and a Stern. From Bow to Stern is the length of the Module (or Sector), typically 60m - 200m. At right angles to this is the Span of Module (or Sector), typically Sectors are 20m - 100m, Modules up to 1km.
